App: Movie Snoop (Android)
Developer: GrowDev
Important: Movie Snoop is a discovery app for movie and TV information and trailers.
It does not stream full-length movies or TV shows. Movie Snoop is not affiliated with Netflix, Inc.
or any other streaming service whose name or logo may appear as catalog metadata.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what information Movie Snoop (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, how it is used,
and the choices you have. By installing or using Movie Snoop, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree,
please uninstall and stop using the app.
2. What the app does
Movie Snoop lets you:
Browse movie and TV catalog information (titles, posters, overviews, genres, providers)
Search and filter titles
Watch trailers (via YouTube player)
Manage personal lists such as My List and Watched
Create local profiles on your device (display name / color)
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information stored on your device
Using Android app storage (for example SharedPreferences / local cache), Movie Snoop may store:
Profile data — profile display name and color (up to several local profiles)
Device / profile identifier — a random UUID generated on your device (not your Google account)
Recently viewed titles — a short on-device history
Local analytics counters — simple event counts (for example app opens, poster taps, trailer opens). These stay on your device and are not uploaded to an analytics server
App cache / settings — cached catalog responses and a copy of remote configuration so the app can load faster and work when offline when possible
Ad-related local state — for example temporary “pause ads” reward state when that feature is enabled
3.2 Information sent to our servers
Catalog and list features contact our API. Requests may include:
An API key used by the app to access our backend
Your random device / profile ID
List actions — titles you save or mark as watched, linked to that ID
Filter parameters you choose (search text, genre, language, provider, country) needed to return results
We do not require your real name, email address, phone number, or password to use Movie Snoop.
There is no traditional account login.
